HER STORY
Rooted in self-care.
Grown through connection.
In November 2015, Da’Shea’s life changed in an instant when a traumatic car accident left her blind in her left eye. Already struggling with her self-esteem, she entered one of the most difficult seasons of her life. Through it all, her two children became her greatest source of strength and her reason to keep moving forward.
A new chapter began in 2020, when Da’Shea met her Reiki teacher, Denise. What started as an introduction to Reiki became the beginning of a deeply personal self-care and healing journey. Through Reiki, she began finding peace within herself and learning to give herself what she had struggled to for years: grace, compassion, and love.
That journey became the heart behind Healing Heartstrings.
Today, Da’Shea is a Reiki practitioner and licensed esthetician who draws on her own experience to create spaces where others can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and prioritize their well-being. Through Healing Heartstrings and SkinFluence, she brings together Reiki, skincare, relaxation, and intentional self-care around one central message:
Self-love is not a luxury. It is part of healing.
What began as Da’Shea’s personal journey toward loving herself has grown into a purpose: helping others make space for themselves, find moments of peace, and know that they, too, are worthy of care.
EDUCATION & TRAINING
Experience supported by training.
Reiki practitioner
She completed Usui Reiki First Degree training in March 2022 and Second Degree practitioner training in September 2022 with Denise Ann Sumbry.
Additional skincare training
Her education includes microdermabrasion training through Brown Aveda Institute using Kendal Professional systems in August 2025.
